Cannes Film Festival 2017: Sonam Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Tiger Shroff & Amy Jackson Make Heads Turn
It’s getting hotter at the Cannes Film Festival 2017 with Sonam Kapoor, Amy Jackson and Tiger Shroff joining Aishwarya Rai Bachchan at the annual do
Sonam Kapoor
landed in Cannes yesterday and while everyone waited for the fashionista’s red
carpet appearance, her first look was revealed earlier than expected. The
actress had to squeeze in a media interaction, for which she opted for a
multi-coloured saree with a white blouse.
The colourful
flowy attire is supposed to be a sporty-cum-spicy look according to the many
hashtags posted by her sister Rhea.
Rhea shared a
slow-motion video of the actress walking down the stairs. The caption read,
“When you squeeze in press a day early and you gotta run but gotta up the
glamour quotient- #sportyspice Day 1 #cannes2017 @sonamkapoor in
@norblacknorwhite @lynn_ban @lorealmakeup.
While we understand
that the outfit was a last minute decision, Sonam could have done better.
Furthermore,
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has been on a roll this time and is doling out one
gorgeous outfit after another. From her Cinderella-like gown to the stunning
red ruffled number, the actress has aced all her appearances.
And here comes
another one. Aishwarya posed in an embellished Monisha Jaising gown for a
photo-call and left us mesmerised.
The beachy waves
coupled with the dark lip colour are the perfect accompaniments. She then
headed to the screening of her 2002 movie Devdas, donning an Indian outfit this
time around.
Aishwarya, who
was overwhelmed by the response, said at the screening, "I am thankful to
all the fans and well-wishers. This movie is very special to us. In 2002, the
movie got a standing ovation when we presented it at Cannes. It was special to
us, as it was the first time that an Indian film got that kind of a reception.
We arrived on a horse-drawn carriage. It was all very magical."
Up next, Amy
Jackson, who is in the Frech Riviera for her film Boogie Man, attended Eva
Longoria’s Global Gift Gala at Cannes on Friday evening wearing a white Versace gown
and black sandals. Quite a stunner, we say.
Looks like the
thigh-high slit is becoming a Cannes staple with a number of beauties donning
the trend.
While Bollywood
beauties turned heads in their respective outfits, Tiger Shroff made his Cannes
debut looks dapper in his formal attire. The actor is at the prestigious
festival to spread the word about the Indian remake of Rambo, the poster of which he released yesterday.
